Our specialist told us that Purpura Nephritis is an immunological disease caused by Anaphylactoid Purpura, or by allergic reaction resulting from bacterium, virus and parasite could lead to Anaphylactoid Purpura. It also can be caused by pollen, insect bite, cold etc..
The following examinations are necessary if you doubt about you got Purpura Nephritis:
I Uroscopy: the level of hematuria, proteinuria and cast must be different;
II Check platelet count, bleeding time, coagulation time and prothrombin time, which should be in the normal range;
III Immunologic test: serum IgA may increase without specificity, most of serum C3 and CH50 are normal; circulating immune complexes during increase during active stage;
IV Renal biopsy: confirm pathologic type of Purpura Nephritis and distinguish it from IgA nephropathy.
