Lupus Nephritis is caused by Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, and it is an immunological disease with symptoms of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus and obvious renal damage. Systemic Lupus Erythematosus develops insidiously and patients have no ideas about what happened. The following are potential causes of Lupus Nephritis:
I Hereditary factor: studies in recent years show that hereditary factor plays a decisive role in attack of Lupus Nephritis, the patients with a family history may have a higher morbidity;
II Low immunity, kidneys are much more likely to be damaged by pathogenic factor because of low immunity.
III Abnormal sex hormone: Lupus Nephritis occurs mostly among women, especially among those in childbearing period.
So it has a closed relationship with estrogen, and pregnancy may worsen the disease.
