There are various test items for minimal change nephropathy, in addition to the health examination, there are still some other test items. Here are some examples as follows:
1. Routine urinalysis
Taking midstream urine of the first urine in the early morning as the specimen, and the test should be finished in 1 hour. Generally we do not test urine during the Women's menstrual period. The main purpose of the urinalysis is to confirm the existence of protein, red blood cells, cast, proportions and the PH value in the urine.
2. Urinary protein
It can more accurately reflect the output of urine protein. The method is to take a 24-hour urine specimens (record the amount), and test part of the specimens. The protein is often characterized as a (4+) in the routine urinalysis, if the proportion of the protein in the urine exceeds 0.5 g per 100 ml of urine.
3. Serum immunoglobulin (IgG, IgA, IgM, IgD, IgE)
The increase or decrease of the numerical value has great significance for identifying and valuing all kinds of kidney disease.
4. Serum complement (total complement, C3, C4, C19)
The numerical value changes of the serum complement are very helpful for identifying different types of nephritis, and the prognosis of the nephritis can be estimated by regular tests..
5. The main test items for understanding the severity of kidney disease and estimating the prognosis of the kidney disease are: serum creatinine clearance (Ccr), serum creatinine (Scr), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), urinary creatinine, phenol red excretion test, urine glucose, type-B ultrasonic, pyelography and renal puncture biopsy etc. We do not need to test all these items as long as we can achieve the purpose of diagnosis. The aim is to reduce the patient’s pain and lighten their financial burden. In addition, the compensatory ability of the kidney is very strong. Therefore, once there is unusual phenomenon appearing in the renal function such as Ccr, Scr and BUN, it indicates that the kidney disease is very serious.
