Membranous Nephropathy occurs at any age, but it is more common in adult. For more than 80% of patients with Membranous Nephropathy, the age of onset is over 30 years old, and the peak time of onset is 36~40 years old. a. The amount of serum albumin is too low (<2.0~2.5 g/dl).
b. Infections, including hepatitis B, malaria, syphilis, and endocarditis.
c. Exposure to toxins, including gold and mercury.
d. Use of certain medicine, including penicillamine and trimethadione.
e. Promoting urination too much.
f. Blood cancers, including non-Hodgkin lymphoma and leukemia.
g. Melanoma, a type of skin cancer.
h. Systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, Graves' disease, and other autoimmune disorders.
